Sigrid Betzelt

Sigrid Betzelt, Dr. phil., has been a professor of social sciences, specialising in the sociology of work and organisations, at the Berlin School of Economics and Law since April 2009. Prior to this position she was a research associate and manager of various third party funded projects at the University of Bremen and worked as a research consultant for a parliamentary group in the Bremen Parliament. She is project leader within the Network of Excellence RECWOWE (Work and Welfare in Europe) of the European Commission’s Sixth Framework Programme. In addition, Sigrid Betzelt has worked as an expert consultant in the preparation of the German government’s first report on gender equality. more

Director

Trevor Evans has a PhD in economics from the University of London. He worked for many years at the Regional Centre for Economic and Social Research (CRIES) in Managua, Nicaragua, and has been a professor of economics at the Berlin School of Economics since 2006. more

Alexander Gallas

Alexander Gallas has a PhD in Sociology from Lancaster University. He is the coordinator of the international research project ‘Combating Inequality’ at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and teaches on the MA course ‘World and European Politics’ at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences. more
