Andrea Prontera is Associate Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations, University of Macerata (Italy), where he teaches International Relations, European Union Institutions and Policies, and Energy Policy. His research interests lie in international political economy, comparative public policy, and EU studies. His latest book, Green Superpowers: China, the European Union, and the United States in the Global Energy Transition (Oxford University Press), examines the role of major powers in the global energy transition. His current work focuses on the transformation of EU energy and industrial policy and the EU’s geoeconomic turn.
