Dr. Valeria Jiménez ist Assistant Professor für Volkswirtschaftslehre am Trinity College in Hartford. Sie hat einen Doktortitel in VWL von der Université Sorbonne Paris Nord sowie zwei Masterabschlüsse (MA in International Economics von der HWR Berlin und MA in MA Economic Analysis and Policy von der Université Sorbonne Paris Nord). Ihren Bachelorabschluss in VWL erwarb Sie an der Universität von Costa Rica.
Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Makroökonomie, politische Ökonomie, Einkommensverteilung, Industriepolitik und ökologische Makroökonomie.
