Ingo Bode
Prof. Dr. Ingo Bode conducts research on developments in the area of organised welfare provision and related public regulation. His research addresses dynamics in corresponding policy programs and within various service sectors, especially in the field of health and social care (for the elderly, young people and other vulnerable groups). It covers variegated organizational contexts and adopts an internationally comparative perspective. Much of his work focuses on the interface between institutional and organisational developments, with a special interest in implications for workers and professions, as well as the influence of welfare bureaucracies and intermediary actors. When scrutinizing the above-mentioned dynamics and regulations, his studies always take into account the role of factors related to the (cultural) political economy of modern welfare states.
